Gucio shoes were created from the need to make footwear that is simple, comfortable and honestly made.
I designed the first models back in the 1990s, searching for a form that would be friendly to a child’s foot and as far removed from mass production as possible.
From the very beginning, the shoes were handmade and, apart from the sole, always made of natural leather.

The sale of new Gucio shoes through independent retailers has ended.

New Gucio shoes are now sold directly by the manufacturer at buciki.pl.
Prices still visible in former retail stores are historical prices and do not represent the manufacturer’s current offer.

Below is a brief historical outline of how it all developed.

History of the Gucio brand and Gucio shoe prices

1997 — Gucio shoes were created. From the very beginning, the brand, the design and the product belonged to Sławomir Piwowarczyk.

In the first years, formal sales and accounting were handled by companies cooperating with me: Duet from Kokotów, Wotex s.c. from Karniów and Bogusław s.c. (Bogusław Filipek). The Gucio brand, the shoe design and the manufacture of the shoes remained mine throughout this entire period.

1 May 2001 — I began selling Gucio shoes through my own company. This was not the beginning of the brand or the product, but only a change of the entity responsible for sales and accounting.

For many years, Gucio shoes were also sold through independent retailers. Many of them were honest and reliable businesses with whom cooperation proceeded properly.

Individual retailers, however, set their own prices, promotions and clearance sales. Prices visible in old retail offers were therefore not always the manufacturer’s official prices.

Old prices of approximately PLN 179–189, still visible in archived store pages and price-comparison websites, are historical prices. They do not represent the manufacturer’s current offer.

2022 — the official price of the basic version of Gucio shoes was increased to PLN 280 gross. This is also a historical price.

Because of price discrepancies, promotions and outdated offers remaining on the internet, I ended sales through intermediaries and moved to direct sales.
